Top UI/UX Design Trends in 2025

The UI/UX design field is booming! And 2025 is all about taking inspiration from previous trends and making it bigger, better, and bolder. 

This year, there will be higher expectations for fun, engaging, and personalized digital experiences. These influences come from Gen Z, who are reshaping the digital landscape with their demand for interactive, dynamic, and visually striking products. The perfect example of this shift is Figma’s website itself – which embodies exactly the creativity, the personalization, and the latest design trends that users are looking for. 

At the same time, in 2025, there will be an even stronger focus on the design of the product. In fact, 94% of users’ first impressions are related to design, and 88% of them are unlikely to return to a website or app if they have a poor experience. 

So, whether you’re a UI/UX designer, a product manager, a developer, or even a business owner, check out the latest design trends you should consider for your projects in 2025. 

The Bento Box design trend has been one of my favorite UI trends in 2024 – and it seems like designers are adopting this style even more in 2025. 

This concept is inspired by the Japanese style of compartmentalizing food in neatly organized packages. This strategy is applied to UI/UX design layouts, making the product designs clearer and more organized, giving them a modern and minimalist design look.

This Bento Box design trend is also inspired by the card-style UI layout. However, this approach focuses on designing modular user interfaces. Here, all elements – whether it’s images, cards, videos, and so on – are all neatly divided into little sections. This is perfect for interfaces with large amounts of information, such as dashboards, E-Commerce websites, mobile apps, and especially the home page and other specific product pages. 

Besides the segmented layouts, another reason why people love this design trend is because of the possibility of personalization – as designers can bring their products through this compartmentalization. Plus, it does wonders for the responsiveness of our UI UX design.

As previously mentioned, the UI/UX design world is inspired by the bold nature of Gen Z. So, compared to the design trends 2024, in 2025, we’re slowly moving on from the minimalist design, and steadily approaching the morphism trend. 

Morphism is the broader term that includes other trends, such as Glassmorphism, Claymorphism, and Skeuomorphism – each with its own unique aesthetic. 

• Glassmorphism is all about the frosted-glass style, with a semi-transparent background and dynamic elements that are also floating. This has been a favorite UI design trend for so many years, and it’s commonly seen in modern, tech-oriented applications.
• Claymorphism features vibrant and 3D elements with subtle shadows, a soft color palette, and rounded corners. This is commonly used in creative fields for a more fun and friendly vibe.
• Skeuomorphism incorporates real-world textures into digital products, using lifelike elements to create a more familiar feel. 

All these styles are amazing for all UI/UX designers who want to stand out. And even if you’re not a fan of big and bold design trends, these styles pair perfectly with the minimalist look as well, as they add an immersive depth to your interface.

Similar to the idea of bigger, better, and bolder, 2025 UX Design embraces Shape Theory, blending nostalgia with a modern look, to create visuals that are both familiar and futuristic. 

Whether it’s squares, rounded corners, or other shapes, this modular approach introduces structure while incorporating other color schemes. UI trends in 2025 are all about finding the perfect balance between functionality and friendliness – and shape theory is exactly what users are looking for in product designs. 

Figma’s website is one step further, as it has already implemented this trend in its UI/UX design. For this reason, the shape theory design trend is perfect for hero sections, where bold, geometric shapes can grab attention and establish a strong visual identity. 

And I know for sure, this will be one of my favorite UI/UX design trends in 2025! 

It’s said that our attention span has decreased to as little as 8.25 seconds. For this reason, in less than 10 seconds, we have to engage our users in a way that makes them want to explore our product even more. And the answer? Motion Design and animations. 

A small amount of movement can have a big impact on our user experience, making these elements one of the best UI trends and UX trends in 2025. With AI making animation and 3D design more accessible, integrating storytelling into our designs has become simpler and more impactful. From motion gradients to parallax scrolling, and dynamic typography – the sky is our limit! 

This design trend allows for the development of even smaller UI trends in the next couple of years. Who knows what our UI/UX designs will look like in the future?

This design style is inspired by the raw and unrefined aesthetics of Brutalist architecture. This style appeared in the late 1940s - early 1950s in Europe, after the widespread destruction caused by World War II. Back then, the emphasis was on constructing buildings rapidly and efficiently, focusing on functionality and simplicity, with little to no unnecessary decoration. 

The latest design trends articles show that Brutalist UI has become a favorite for creative agencies, indie brands, and even personal design portfolios, because of its bold layouts, sharp contrasts, and the minimalist aesthetic that breaks from traditional design norms.

This is why brutalist design creates a distinct visual identity that sparks curiosity and invites deeper engagement.
